Tips to keep your heart healthy


 

To help prevent heart disease, you can:

  • Eat healthy

      These foods are the foundation of a heart - healthy eating plan
  • Vegetables (spinach, broccoli, carrot, cabbage etc.)
  • Fruits (Apple, banana, oranges, pears, grapes etc.)    
  • Grains and low-fat dairy foods (milk, yogurt, cheese)
  • Fish , eggs, Legumes (lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans,  lima beans etc.)    


  • Get Active
Do moderate exercises like running, walking, yoga etc.

  • Stay at a healthy weight
Check weight regularly and maintain body fat.
  • Quit smoking 

Quit smoking and stay away from second hand smoking.
  • Control your cholesterol and blood pressure

Check your cholesterol and blood pressure.
  • Manage Stress

One should always manage their stress for  a healthy heart.
  • Drink alcohol only in moderation

If you can't quit drinking then drink in moderation.
